Soft Glass Narrow Spiral Water Pipe

These ~16" colored spiral glass Opalescent water pipes are hand blown featuring a spiral tube design with a vase shaped base and glass on glass joint. Made from thick glass, these water pipes are sturdy and heavy. The diffused downstem does a great job of diffusion your smoke for a smooth hit.

This water pipe is made from "soft glass." Soft glass is different from the borosilicate glass used in hand pipes in a couple of ways. It allows for an incredibly wide range of colors and effects which are simply not even possible with borosilicate. It is also less brittle and therefore much, much more durable. It cannot handle as extreme changes in temperature, but when used correctly as has been done here, it is perfectly suitable to be used for water pipes because virtually no heat is ever applied to the soft glass during use. It is recommended never to wash a soft glass piece using hot water for this reason.
